We are a new, exciting and dynamic service. The aim of the company is to deliver a range of transitional services, including residential services and education for young people with learning disabilities, particularly Autism Spectrum Conditions. We also support young people whose behaviours present as a challenge and those with mental health issues or other special needs who aspire to more independent living.

The Lodge offers a 4 bedded home, providing high specification accommodation in a scenic and tranquil location. We promote service user inclusion in the full range of daily living. Our living accommodation has been designed to meet the sensory needs of young people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions .The Lodge provides respite and short breaks to young people ages 12 to 18 and 18 to 20.
The Grange is a spacious comfortable bungalow, located adjacent to the lodge. It is situated close to all the amenities of a busy rural town surrounded by the best of Bedfordshire countryside. A four bedded home, with individual rooms and shower rooms, the Grange is aimed at supporting looked after children who aspire to independent living. Our focus at both the Lodge and the Grange is to prepare the young people towards greater skill levels and competence to move from residential settings to more independent living models of support. This is helped by our ability to provide tailored education through our ASDAN educational program.
Our Garden room provided excellent indoor and outdoor recreational areas and includes a sensory room and disabled toilet. Outside is a large enclosed play area which includes a trampoline, swings and other outdoor equipment. We pride ourselves in our ability to meet the unique needs of the young people in our care. We work in partnership with them, their families and other relevant professionals, adopting a person centred approach which identifies their needs and provides the care appropriately.

Set in three and a half acres of countryside, we are able to offer a complimentary learning setting to support the needs of each young person, working alongside their mainstream learning centre. Our activity programmes, structured to the individual, enhances our residential services. We provide continual educational support using the T.E.A.C.C.H program along side the use of WIDGITS and more specific educational provision, in-house, using the ASDAN system. We are also able to include a full Psychological assessment service Our multi sensory facility and Hydro-therapy pool are available to all our young people. The young people may choose to participate within the centres horticultural facilities and the routines of our small animal area.
We adopt the T.E.A.C.C.H (Treatment and Education for Autistic and related communication handicapped Children) approach in all areas of care for our young people. This programme was developed in the USA over 25 years ago and is based on a number of key principles. The principles include attention to visual communication which in-turn promotes the understanding of self care, vocational and recreational skills and education,
T.E.A.C.C.H. gives the young people a structured approach, through the use of visual communication, which reduces anxieties and improves choice and coping strategies. In addition to T.E.A.C.C.H we use WIDGITS it assist in the visual communication with our young people. This has proved highly successful in increasing good communication and reducing anxiety and stress caused by poor communication. All our systems are assessed and tailored to meet the individuals needs and are constantly monitored and maintained to ensure there effectiveness.
